Lars C. Anderson serves as executive vice president and vice chairman of Fifth Third Bancorp. He leads the Company’s commercial strategy and growth initiatives.
Lars C. Anderson serves as executive vice president and vice chairman of Fifth Third Bancorp. He leads the Company’s commercial strategy and growth initiatives. Lars joined Fifth Third as executive vice president and chief operating officer in August 2015, leading the Commercial Bank, which included oversight of the Middle Market, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance and Private Equity divisions. He previously had responsibility for the Regional Banking network, Treasury Management, and Wealth & Asset Management businesses.
Lars has more than 30 years of industry experience. Before joining Fifth Third, he was vice chairman, business bank, at Comerica. There, he led more than 20 lines of business, including middle market banking and U.S. banking. Additionally, Lars has specialized business expertise in vertical industries. He chaired the executive credit committee. Lars also has led solutions teams, including those in corporate finance, treasury management services and leasing.
Prior to joining Comerica in 2010, Lars served in a number of roles with increasing scope and responsibility at BB&T.
Lars earned his bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University in Boston. He completed the advanced management program at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and the executive program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Besides operations, Dave spends a lot of his time in the early stages of a project developing the preliminary requirements and logistical approaches to New South’s projects. When he is not in the office, Dave enjoys traveling with his family and playing golf. Dave attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

John Long is one of the founding principals of South City Partners. Along with Mark Randall, John is responsible for setting the overall direction of the company, helping to identify new development opportunities and perhaps most importantly, building and supporting a great team of dedicated, passionate and fun-loving development professionals. John has primary oversight of the financing and development of new projects. Prior to South City John spent ten years with Novare Group, one of the leading condominium and mixed-use developers in the southeast. As chief investment officer, John was responsible, either directly and/or as chief investment officer, for the design, development, financing and sale of more than 6,000 multi-family units across scores of projects valued at more than $2 billion. Projects ranged in size from a couple of million dollars to more than $200 million. While at Novare, John also led the successful acquisition and/or development of more than 1.1 million square feet of class A, high rise office, and 300,000 square feet of urban, street-front retail. Prior to joining Novare Group, John enjoyed a successful career with Finova Realty Capital and, prior to that, Belgravia Capital in the mortgage banking business. John graduated from Georgia Tech in 1985 in Industrial Systems Engineering.

While at Barry, he was responsible for the financing, acquisition, and development of more than $1.5 billion of transactions.
